PBS: some features
Very flexible scheduling policy
- Scheduling policy is defined by a scheduler code (C, BaSL (Batch Scheduling Language), or Tcl), which each administrator of the system must prepare.
- Good examples of the scheduler are supplied.
- CC-J uses a Tcl scheduler modified from an example.
Very flexible queue setting
- Many parameters of the job, the queues, and the server can be defined, which can be changed interactively by a administrator.
Quick communication with the developing group
- A mailing list for the PBS users accepts questions from the users and others or someone of the developing team reply quickly.
