But its spin alignment is still a puzzle of J/psi production mechanism. So far, CDF and NA60 experiments measured J/psi polarization ( Phys.Rev.Lett.99,132001(2007), J.Phys.G34:S463-470,2007 ) and, for example, CDF shows slightly negative polarization while COM predicts a positive polarization. So measurements of J/psi polarization and provides new data are important to understand the J/psi production mechanism. In PHENIX experiment, J/psi is detected by Muon Arm via muon decay channel or by Central Arm via electron decay channel. Acceptance corrections are very important to analyze the J/psi polarization for both cases. I will do Muon Arm simulations using CCJ for the acceptance corrections and get the J/psi polarization from run6 proton-proton collision data.
