This is a unique way of accessing transversity distribution function in proton-proton collision in that it does not require any knowledge of the jet axis for a given event. PHENIX took transverse polarized proton-proton data in 2006 and 2008. Using these data sets the di-hadron single spin asymmetry can be probed at percent level. Estimated CPU time required : 500 hours (with Pentium III 1GHz) Estimated disk space usage required : 150 GB Estimated HPSS space usage required : 0 HPSS band width for above estimate : MB/s Target date for completion (cpu) : 01 / 02 / 09 (DD/MM/YY) (disk): 01 / 05 / 09 Plan for the publication of this result (if possible) still to be determined, probably in 1~2 years Other useful infomation
