The trigger is for detecting high momentum muon from W boson decay using forward muon arm of the PHENIX detector. Measurement of helicity dependent asymmetry in W production at polarized proton-proton collisions is the strong approach to understand the spin structure of the proton. Especially, it reveals polarized sea quark distribution of the proton, which is one of the major questions in the study of the proton structure. We are developing an additional electrical circuit to the original electronics. The trigger circuit obtain a part of the signal from the original electronics and provide the trigger for the data taking. We produced the prototype of the trigger circuit and performed the test experiment at PHENIX in this summer to study the performance of the circuit and the effect to the original electronics. The data was taking using PHENIX DAQ and will be sent to CCJ for the analysis. We will produce data summary (DST) table from the raw data and the DST will be kept on the disk. In addition, we will utilize CPU of CCJ for further analysis. Estimated CPU time required : 6000 hours (with Pentium III 1GHz) Estimated disk space usage required : 500GB Estimated HPSS space usage required : 3 TB HPSS band width for above estimate : 10 MB/s Target date for completion (cpu) : 31/ 3/ 2008 (DD/MM/YY) (disk): 31/ 3/ 2008 Plan for the publication of this result (if possible) No plan currently. Other useful infomation No information currently.
